Eli's ProjectLife Album

I LOVE ProjectLife and when they came out with a Baby album I was so excited. Our nursery was grey and yellow and the neutral edition of ProjectLife was in those colors. I ordered two kits! Matchy Matchy Taunia kicked in and I had to have matching kits for future children. Anyway the kits are great. They come with several prompt cards to help you journal.

The beginning of the book is focused on family, how you met, life without baby, a time capsule about life in the year baby was born, etc. All things you can fill out before baby is born. The concept is the same as the original ProjectLife a picture a day with a journal card to go with it.

The kit is everything you need to complete the first year of babies life, and it is super easy you just print the photos and slip them in the page protectors.

Once baby is born there is prompt cards for each month. Month 1 Month 2.... each month comes with a stat card to record babies weight, height, and milestones. There is also misc cards to include all of the firsts, like first tooth, first car ride, etc.

This project is great you can fall behind and catch right up because your always taking the photos so you can print a batch and journal whenever you have time. This is something you could complete if your kids are already older it would take no time at all to complete an album and is such a great keepsake

The photo pocket pages are big enough to slip in memorabilia as well. I add all sorts of things to my album and it is all in one place.

This is one of the greatest photo based solutions out there to document life. You don't need anything but the kit, binder, and photo pages. All found on Becky Higgins website. www.beckyhiggins.com. If your Canadian you can order all the products on www.scrapbookersinnercircle.com. You can most defiantly start this now if your children are older you have all the photos and you can just slip them right in, a great idea for the "non scrapbooker" check it out you won't be disappointed.

Project Life

If you have ever been in my presence you know I love Project Life. My family makes fun of me but I love documenting our life through this photo solution. I started this in 2010 with the concept of taking a picture everyday 365 pictures in one album complete with journalling. Now 4 years later I am still in love with this project and LOVE looking back at the completed albums.

I purchase all of my supplies from a Canadian website Scrapbookers Inner Circle. Everything Becky Higgins everything Project Life is available on here. Some supplies are now being sold in Micheals and Hobby Lobby stores but supplies are limited. Below is how to get started:

You can add all sorts of things you want into it but the basics are provided.

Here are some of the kits they have available right now. Each kit comes with over 600 different cards to journal on. Prompt cards, title and last page cards all great paper quality.

My granny just got this Family Heritage Edition to put all of her and my grandpa's photos into as a keepsake book for us. There is so many colors and themes you will have a hard time choosing but they are all great quality. They also come in mini versions to put together smaller books. Like this Wedding Edition below

And now I will just bombard you with pictures and pictures of my albums.

Cover Pages

I use 12x12 page protectors to put in larger photos or news paper articles. The page protectors are big enough to slip in special memorabilia as well. Ticket stubs, receipts, name tags, cards etc.

I keep this small file folder in my office for misc things I want to keep to put in the book as well as organize the photos so they are handy when I have time to work on the album.

I also keep a packet of journal cards in the kitchen to write down random things I want to remember to put in the book like. June 4th- Eli crawled today.

This is so simple to put together. I usually print batches of photos from snapfish.ca and get them shipped to my door monthly. I can sit down in an evening put a months worth of photos into the book and journal in an hour!

The big books can get overwhelming and now that I have 4 books they do take up quite a bit of room. They do offer a Digital version so you can make the books as small photo books from Shutterfly. I have been trying to switch to this way for a couple years but I like the physical book and adding little things into the book like Eli's hospital bracelets, movie stubs and that sort of thing. That and you have to wait a whole year to get the book printed, but you can also print as many books as you want so you could give each of your kids one each year as a keepsake.

I invite you to head over to Becky Higgins dot com and check out everything she has to offer. She has just released the designs for the 2014 Editions that will be available soon. If you want to shop now go to www.scrapbookersinnercircle.com where she has everything in her store for you there and shipped to you within days.

Now go get started on your 2014 Project Life or catch up on a years worth of photos or vacations in no time at all!

Tradition Book

I made this tradition book in hopes to fill it with great family traditions. I think traditions are fun with children and look forward to there reactions.

I made this be a mini album since there small and easy to make a couple hard cardstocks for the cover, rings and, misc paper I had from ProjectLife kits completed this book. I kept lots of blank pages in the book, and will probably divide each child into their own section when we have more kids.

I don't have many traditions yet but as we have more children and they get older we will incorporate more into this book so far these are some that we have.

Santa Photo
Christmas Eve Pajama Present
Waking up to Birthday Balloons in bedroom morning of Birthday
Birthday Photos
I am.... (Age) Sign Picture
Easter Egg Hunt

Each time we do a family tradition I put the photo from the event in the book. I like photos in any book so this is nice cause then you can see how things have changed from year to year. Do you have any neat family traditions. I would love to hear about them!
