Egg Carton Craft

Pinterest is lovely. So many cute things. We found some inspiration to paint egg cartons and had fun doing it.

Gathered all our egg cartons, the ones without the holes are rare but I was able to get my hands on one of them.

We gave the cartons a base coat of white, it took about 3 coats to cover all of the writing.

I found these circle sponge brushes at Walmart and they work great for polka dots. They came in three different sizes and washed up good as well so will be able to use these again. I also used q-tips for the real smaller circles

Picked our paint colors and then just stamped.

I tired some chevron strips on one of my cartons but it didn't turn out as well as the polka dots.

This Easter sign I purchased from Hobby Lobby years ago gets a new layer of paint every year. Last year I painted it white and did a newspaper technique on it but I could still see the original colors of pink and green so out came the mint paint this year and I brushed a few strokes over it and there we have it.

Favourite Things

Egg Timer- I got this in my stocking from Aaron this Christmas. I use it when cooking pasta. This one was from Pharmasave and comes in lots of colours.

Old Navy Skinny Jeans- These jeans were $29.99 and are very comfy. Not as comfy as a pair of lulu's but they are perfect.

BabyGap Kids- Everything from GAP kids is super cute and very good quality now that Eli is moving around and crawling his jeans wear out easily but these are such good quality. We love these pants the most. They are lined inside and super comfy plus very stylish with the vintage washing, and have an elastic band top

Decorative Lamps- Cute lamps really spruce up a room. I always buy lamps on sale and have got them from Target, Walmart, and Kohls. An old lamp can be revamped with a new color of paint and a new lamp shade or the shade can be recovered with cute fabric.

Paper Plates and Napkins- This is a bit of an obsession if you look into my party drawers yes it is now two drawers. You would think I was a full time party thrower. I find most of these cute plates at Target, Walmart, JC Penny and if you would like to come shopping in my drawers feel free. I am set up for all occasions!

Canvas Prints

I love canvas prints and pretty much every picture hanging on our home is a canvas.

I order from Shutterfly for large format prints and Paper Coterie for small to medium prints.
I like the way the fabric stretches all around the edges and is 3D looking.

This 20x30 wedding canvas hung in our living room until just recently it was replaced with a 16x20 family print.

In our bedroom above the bed another 20x30 wedding canvas.

In the basement hallway a newborn print from Paper Coterie 16x20.

We had this wall niche made in our basement that this Canvas fits perfectly in another 20x30 size of Aaron's Tour Champ Trophy from this season.

See a theme here haha! A lot of 20x30 prints. Go big or go home! But for real if you have the room go for a bigger one its more striking and beautiful.

Shutterfly offers coupons often and discount prices on almost anything on their website including canvas prints.

Paper Coterie is the same and has great deals throughout the year. I have never paid full price for any canvas print, and that makes me happy everyone likes a SALE!
